Craig M. Cousley
Craig M. Cousley is truly a jack of all trades. He has worked with marine biologists, computers, the internet, liquid oxygen, aircraft servicing, at risk youth, child actors, nonprofit charities and, of course, drove a taxi. Born and raised in southeast Pennsylvania. Craig attended Eastern College and Temple University. After a hitch in the USAF, Craig relocated to the San Fernando Valley, where he studying Biblical Archeology in his spare time. Over the last twenty years, Craig has worked with a wide variety of celebrities that include: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ashley Tisdale, Austin O'Brien, Bruce Jenner, Darian Weiss, David Arquette, Penny Marshall, Shaquille O'Neal, Sinbad, Tom Arnold, Tony Banks, various U.S. Congressmen, State, County, and City Officials, as well as over 150 child actors. Various organizations that Craig has worked with include the Anaheim Ducks, Athletes and Entertainers for Kids, Camp Ronald McDonald, Candle-Lighters, Habitat for Humanity, Make-A-Wish Foundation, NBC, Ronald McDonald House, Universal, Los Angeles Dodgers, Warner Brothers, Sony Pictures and The Walt Disney Company. Because of his work, Craig has developed relationships with many young actors. Craig produced and directed "spec" scripts for proposed TV series "Call Back" and "Hyper-Kewl," as well as the promotional video for the feature film "Reel Life." He also produced "Romeo and Juliet" in 2008. Craig is a prolific writer with over 30 projects in development.

Maggie Dougher
Maggie Dougher has a B.A. in Literature and an unofficial doctorate in Garage Theater from Patrick Henry College. There she directed Macbeth, assistant-directed Cyrano de Bergerac, and stage-managed You Can't Take It With You and Leave It To Psmith in addition to being crew, acress, house-manager, set-designer, fight director, and props master for sundry other productions. As a recent student in the LBCC Theater program, she crewed 12 Angry Men and 'Til Death Do Us Part, stage-managed the Shanks & Giggles stage-combat show, and ASM'd The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr (abridged!). She would like to thank Tony Carreiro for his rapiers and careful teaching, Heidi for encouraging her to get involved, and Jesus Christ for keeping her sane through it all. As a theatrical jack-of-all trades, Maggie does have some acting under her belt, mostly in Old Gossip roles: Lady Markby in An Ideal Husband, Mrs. Phillips in Pride and Prejudice, and Mother Marguerite in Cyrano de Bergerac, all with Patrick Henry College's Eden Troupe. She's relieved to finally be playing someone her own age. Now if only she knew how to dance...
Ali Deyer
as Juliet's Nurse
Ali is so very excited to be reprising her role as the Nurse in William Shakespeare's R&J. Two years older than last go around, she feels confident that this will be her last time in this role since most in the 1400s were dead by 26. Other favorite roles consist of Prudence in Beyond Therapy and Apostle in Jesus Christ Superstar. Thank you to Heidi for giving me nighttime reading when she sends her Christmas letter and for lending 3/4s of her children to this fabulous production. All kidding aside, I am extremely grateful to be in this cast's company and would gladly do it again. Love to DCM.
Chandler Stager
as Tybalt
Chandler Stager is the middle kid in his big family. He is having fun playing the "Fiery Tybalt" in William Shakespeare's R&J. Chandler was recently a jailhouse rock dancer in All Shook Up this summer, and played "Charlie Davenport" in Annie Get Your Gun. Chandler has performed at the Downey Civic Light Opera, the South Bay Civic Light Opera, Costa Mesa Playhouse, Norris Theater, Buena Park Civic Theater and others. Favorite roles for Chandler over the years have been "Colin Craven", "Michael Darling", "JoJo", "Kurt" & "Rolf", "Lefou", "Hugo Peabody", "Potiphar", "Thenardier", & "Baker." Chandler enjoys playing the guitar and singing and "hangin" with his friends, as well as theater tech and acting. He will be in "42nd Street" with Puttin On Productions in January. Tybalt will be his first death scene!
Creed Stager
as Peter
Creed Stager is 13 years old and is having fun exchanging swashing blows as Peter with Darren (Mercutio) in their swordfight! He is again typecast as the comic relief & is deeply humbled to play the peon servant of a servant in R & J. Creed played the part of Friedrich Von Trapp in The Sound of Music this summer with "Broadway in the Park" & also Tommy Keeler in Annie Get Your Gun. Creed has done several national commercials and enjoys modeling in addition to acting. Creed has portrayed some fun roles including: Wacky in Annie, JoJo in Suessical, Little Jake in Annie Get Your Gun, Chip Beauty & The Beast, Baker in Into the Woods, Gavroche in Les Miserables, Doody in Grease, Benjamin in Joseph-Dreamcoat, Linus in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Winthrop in Music Man, Randolph Macafee in Bye, Bye Birdie, Leroy Herdmand in Best Christmas Pageant and others. Thanks a lot to Craig Cousley for roping me into this! Now I can add Shakespeare to my resume!
Chase Stager
as Benvolio
Chase Stager began acting when he was in Kindergarten and has been in many plays over the years. He is the oldest kid of seven siblings. He is an advanced tap dancer and has been a part of Starlight Xpress performing troupe for four years. This is Chase's second time portraying the role of "Benvolio" in "Romeo & Juliet". Chase has taken three semesters of stage combat and enjoyed choreographing several of the swordfights for this production and is grateful for no injuries thus far! Favorite roles for Chase have been: "Kurt", "Rolf", "Captain Von Trapp", "Rudyard Kipling", "Rueben", "Ali Hakim", "John Darling", "Horton", "Beast", "Harold Hill", "Ugly", "Bert Healy", "F.D.R.", "Albert Pederson", "Sky Masterson", "Wilbur Turnblad", "Jean Val Jean" and this summer as a dancing pirate in "Pirates of Penzance" with TTC! Chase also enjoys theater tech, editing, making films, and is a big Disney fan! He gives a shout out to all his talented fellow actors.
Darian Weiss
as Romeo
At 17 years old, Darian Weiss is an award-winning stage and screen actor, international champion figure skater and gymnast. Equity stage credits include a Young Artist Award-winning performance in the Hollywood Bowl production of "Mame", "The Ten Commandments" at the Kodak Theater, and "Beethoven's in the House" at Walt Disney Concert Hall. On-camera, Darian currently recurs in NBC's web series "In Gayle We Trust" and looks forward to his starring role in Lifeline Entertainment's feature film "11:11". Darian co-starred in the feature films "Dreamkillers", "Christmas Miracle at Sage Creek", "Return to Innocence", Hallmark's TV movie "Love's Unfolding Dream", recurred as Will on "Days of Our Lives," and guest starred on "Mad Men," "Without a Trace," "Numbers," "Mad TV", and Disney's "Good Luck Charlie." Darian would like to thank his agents at Abrams Artists and William Morris/Endeavor and his manager Martin Weiss. A special thanks to Craig Cousley, Heidi Stager, and to his family for their continued guidance and support.
Darren Giglio
as Mercutio
Darren simply loves to perform. In addition, he loves to perform alongside these wonderful and talented individuals. Some of Darren's favorite roles include Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella's Prince in Into the Woods, Uncle Max in The Sound of Music, Professor Plum in Clue the Musical, and Mr. Mole/Lizardo in an original musical Thumbelina where he received an Irene Ryan nomination. Darren had the pleasure of touring to Jinan, China to perform in an original musical review for the performing arts school, Shandong University. In an effort to spend more time in the audience, Darren has spent the last few years directing a wonderful group of kids in El Segundo's Children's Theater Department. Darren thanks God, his incredible family, friends, and loved ones, his wonderful Kendall, the R&J cast and crew, the Stager family, Craig for the opportunity, and the audience for flying out to Verona to support us!
Richard Abraham
as Father Lawrence
Richard is glad to return to Tear Entertainment and their production of Romeo and Juliet. Richard has performed in stage, television and film for 20 years in many varied guises and always finds the words of Shakespeare to be exciting and nourishing to perform. Have a brilliant day!
Heidi Stager
as Lady Capulet
Heidi Stager is delighted to play the role of Lady Capulet, mother of Juliet, especially since Shay is her real life daughter! She's having fun acting alongside her three sons as well as all her fellow Shakespearean actors whom she highly respects. She also enjoyed costuming this show for the second time. Heidi played the British housekeeper and a singing nun in "Broadway in the Park's" inaugural production of "The Sound of Music" earlier this summer. Favorite productions she has performed in have been "H.M.S. Pinafore"", "South Pacific", "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown", "The Sound of Music"(thrice), "Oklahoma", "The Deadly Game", "A Christmas Carol" and others. Heidi is a CSUDH graduate with theater, dance and interior design degrees. She has enjoyed all aspects of theater including directing, set design, prop mistress, publicity, costumer and actress. She and husband Greg are the happy parents of seven singing siblings, own a swimwear company, "Sunsets Inc.", run an English vacation manor in Colorado called "Winslow on the Shire", attend Kings Harbor Church in Torrance and love to drink tea hot or cold! Thanks Craig for the opportunity and the Lord above for the many blessings and eternal hope!
Perry Shields
as Lord Capulet
L.A. native Perry Shields' theatrical background includes over 70 productions in the capacity of actor, musician, and director. Some of his favorite roles have included Sir Evelyn in Anything Goes, Felix in The Odd Couple, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (himself), Waldgrave in The Nerd, Pellinore in Camelot, and Schrank in West Side Story. He has also worked at the Neighborhood Playhouse, Little Fish, and Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities, among others. His training includes voiceover with longtime L.A. radio personality Don Burns, and improvisation with the famed Groundlings. In addition to theater, Perry's industrial and commercial film and television projects include the 79-year old title character in "Jack Pierce: The Man Behind the Monsters" and Quasimodo in "A Tribute to Lon Chaney."
Ray Buffer
as Lord Montague and Apothecary
Ray Buffer is delighted to be involved in this Shakespeare performance. He is the founder and producing artistic director of The Relevant Stage - San Pedro's Musical Theatre Company. He was recently seen as Captain Von Trapp in Broadway In The Park's THE SOUND OF MUSIC, and a workshop performance as the Preacher in VIOLET. He is currently writing/directing 6TH STREET BURLESQUE for TRS opening September 18, as well as preparing for his appearance as Adam Pontepee in SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS in November, and Fred Graham in KISS ME KATE opening in 02/2011.
Glen Jimenez
as The Prince
Glen received his Bachelors Arts from CSU Dominguez Hills in 2009 and his Associate of Arts from Rio Hondo Community College in 2008. He focused on Acting, Writing, and Directing. Glen's Acting credits include Proof, Electricidad, Lysistrata, Little College on the Hill, A Christmas Carol, An American Daughter, Rancho Hollywood, Roosters, Twelfth Night, Spring Break Lawyer, Arrest and Trial and Blind Faith. In 2000, Glen received a Meritorious Achievement Award from the American College Theatre Festival XXXII for his work as Stage Manager for The Good Person of Sichuan and an Ensemble Performance Award for Equus and Twelfth Night. In 2008, Glen received the Teatro Dominguez Award from California State University Dominguez Hills from the Theatre Department.
Shayley Stager
as Juliet
Shay Stager is honored to play the role of "Juliet" once again with Tear Entertainment's production of William Shakespeare's R&J. She previously performed this role two years ago with Tear in Culver City. Shay loves to sing and has been on stage since toddlerhood. She has performed in churches over the years and is currently on Kings Harbor Church worship team, and sings at fundraisers, weddings, funerals and stage productions. She sang professionally for a few years at the American Girls Review at the Grove portraying the colonial doll, "Felicity". Favorite roles for her have been: "Marta" (Sound of Music) "Gracie & Zaneeta Shinn" (Music Man), "Rosalie Flannigan"(Loud, Red Patrick), "Annie" (Annie), "Molly" (Destination Imagination), "Mary Lennox" (The Secret Garden), "Alice" (Alice in Wonderland), "Oliver" (Oliver), "Jane" (Peter Pan), "Ariel" (Footloose), "Penny Pingleton" (Hairspray), "Narrator" (Joseph), "Miss Sandra" (All Shook Up), and "Eponine" (Les Miserables).
Stephen Guiry
as Paris
Stephen Guiry has been performing since he was 9 years old. Ever since his first production, his passion to perform has only grown. Some of his favorite roles include: Dean Hyde in All Shook Up, Willard in Footloose, Rolf in The Sound of Music, Charlie Brown in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Eugene in Grease, Dodger in Oliver!, as well as CLO's Oliver!, Grantaire in Les Miserables, just to name a few. Stephen also loves to play piano and compose music. He considers it a tremendous blessing to have the opportunity, not only to perform Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, but to perform it alongside this brilliant group of people.
Lexie Prendergast
as Capulet Dancer
Lexie Prendergast is 18 and currently attending El Camino College for theatre arts. She started performing at the age of 13 and has loved it ever since. Some of her favorite productions have been All Shook Up! (Natalie), Cinderella (Cinderella), Little Shop of Horrors (Ronette) and Les Misérables (Ensemble). Lexie would like to dedicate this show to God for all the blessings He's given her.
Chloe Stager
as Capulet Dancer
Chloe Stager just graduated from Coastal Academy after being homeschooled her whole life! She is the oldest daughter (and most organized) of her many siblings and loves to keep track of everyone's schedule! She is in the Master Tap Ensemble at El Camino College and loves to dance! Chloe has been performing since she was four. This summer she had a blast playing the part of 'Annie Oakley' in Annie Get Your Gun with SCYT in Whittier, dancing in 'Jailhouse Rock' in All Shook Up with Starlight Productions and will be portraying the part of 'Peggy Sawyer' mid January with POPS in '42nd Street!' She has been a part of Starlight Xpress dance and singing group for the past three years performing at Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm, Relay for Life, Carnivals, 4th of July at Wilson Park celebrations and more! Chloe is truly a girl who 'just wants to have fun!' Come buy some snacks from her at the concession booth to help support our production of 'Romeo & Juliet'.
